As a Currahee of the Vietnam Era, a visit to the Currahee Military Museum was a must stop. Toccoa was the original training area for all things airborne.
Very nice museum located in the Depot of Toccoa Ga. Lots of information for any WWII buff. Nice place to take the young ones. Well worth the drive up. Very friendly staff.
I am a very big history nut and WWII is my main area of interest. The museum not only has an amazing tribute to the men of Easy Company, “Band of Brothers” but it has a very nice selection of local information.
Absolutely amazing museum here, if you are a history buff or just enjoy seeing our history this place is perfect. The ladies at the Chamber of Commerce (which serves as the start ) are super helpful and super nice and are willing to help with anything you may need. Ray at the museum gift shop was also full of history knowledge. I will be going back and I highly recommend this to anyone who has watched Band of Brothers.

The museum is constantly expanding, so it is worthwhile to return and enjoy the improvements.
The staff is exceptional. Appreciated their assistance in planning my first time visit. I would recommend that you contact them in planning your trip. They are knowledgeable of convenient routes and places to stay.
Each year they hold a reunion for the men of Easy Company and if you are in the area be sure to stop by for that, it’s the first weekend of October.
