The past two years, I have had the blessing of working with Bill, the Conference Center Director and had nothing but a great experience. The whole staff team have bent over backwords to help us put on a conference for 300-400 people. Will use again if we can!
I recently attended a women’s retreat here. The retreat was incredible. The only eyesore for this unbelievable weekend were the accommodations. The lakeside view was picturesque, (most of) the beds were comfortable and the all inclusive price made the weekend affordable. However the center is dated and most every room smells musty/damp. Many of the women encountered large roaches in their rooms and some bathrooms didn’t seem very clean (bring shower shoes, Lysol cleaner and air freshener). The food wasn’t terrible (great varied selections) but many of us left with upset stomachs/bloating. The BCC may be a great option for youth or college age folks but sadly, I wouldn’t recommend hosting an overnight women’s event event there.
I cannot give this place any stars because it was very very dirty. They need a deep cleaning especially the carpet. I was in a hotel style building the rooms were very dirty. I wish that I had thought to take pictures. (I only gave the one star because it will not let you hit post without giving any stars) The pictures that are posted are old and there are no personal pictures taken of the rooms. #veryoldpics
The past three year I have spent a week for GoTell Camp with my church and churches from all over the country. Great staff and food! Very friendly environment. Clean hotels and lake.
Just finished my second year of attending here with fellow senior Christians around the state and one church from South Carolina, as well as a Methodist church. We has a great time- food was delicious, singers were excellent and fellow believers were wonderful! I will start in April being a volunteer and am really looking forward to the experience.
